Kieran Shanahan of Shanahan Law Group, PLLC is among alumni special guests at “Leadership Raleigh Tune-Up”
RALEIGH, N.C. – Kieran J. Shanahan, a former four-term Raleigh City Councilman and the principal of Raleigh-based Shanahan Law Group, PLLC, was among the special guests at a “Leadership Raleigh Tune-Up” hosted by the Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association on Thursday, February 26.
Shanahan and the other speakers, all of whom are Leadership Raleigh alumni, shared their paths to success and how they developed their own leadership potential. The event was organized as a roundtable discussion, with each guest spending fifteen minutes at each table.
“Leadership Raleigh is an excellent program, and I was honored to participate in this event,” says Shanahan. “It was a privilege to meet and talk with so many people who are dedicated to making our community a better place.”
Kieran Shanahan is a former federal prosecutor and is currently the principal of Shanahan Law Group, PLLC, a Raleigh-based business litigation firm he founded in 2001. He previously served as a partner with Patton Boggs and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both the Eastern District of North Carolina and the Northern District of Georgia. Shanahan served four terms as a member of the Raleigh City Council and has been a delegate to numerous county, district, state and national Republican conventions. He serves on the board of directors for Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina and the Board of Trustees for the Bennett College for Women. He is founder and chairman of both the N.C. Property Rights Coalition and the N.C. Property Rights Foundation. He has been recognized as one of North Carolina’s “Super Lawyers” and was named one of Business Leader magazine’s “Impact Leaders” in the legal profession in 2008. Additionally, in February 2009 Business Leader magazine named Shanahan a “Business Leader of the Year” in the Business Services Category.
