Rakes Named ABA Young Lawyer Representative

RALEIGH, NC — Kenzie Rakes, attorney at Shanahan Law Group, has been appointed to serve as the Young Lawyer Representative to the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section’s Consumer Protection Committee during the 2015-2016 ABA year. Rakes, who joined the firm last summer, will serve on the committee for one year.

“I am excited I was selected to be a Young Lawyer Representative. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the committee,” said Rakes.

As a Young Lawyer Representative, Rakes will have the opportunity to contribute to all facets of the committee’s work, “including writing for the committee newsletter, organizing and participating in committee programs, enhancing and editing the committee webpages, and assisting with the committee’s social media strategy.”
