Judge William Webb Committee Appointments

Shanahan Law Group is pleased to announce that Judge William Webb, Senior Advisor, has been selected to serve on the North Carolina Bar Association’s Judicial Independence Committee and the Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice.

The Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the North Carolina judicial system so as to make recommendations for how the courts can be strengthened within the existing administrative framework. “The Commission will consider how our courts can best meet institutional needs and twenty-first century public expectations, ensuring that we can continue to provide justice for all,” said Chief Justice Martin, who appointed Judge Webb, along with four other members, to the commission.

The Judicial Independence Committee aims to highlight the importance of an independent judiciary, while also working to improve the methods of selecting judges and justices in North Carolina.
