Former State Senator Swindell, N.C. Democratic Party, offer Newton Public Apology
Wilson, N.C. – Senator Buck Newton and Former Senator A.B. Swindell and the N.C. Democratic Party agreed to a settlement of the defamation and libel suit filed by Newton against Swindell and the Party during the 2010 election. As a result, the lawsuit has been dismissed.
